how early can i enter

I will be studying Chinese between 16-2-2013 to 21-6-2013 in Shanghai, and was wondering how early can I enter the country prior to my class start dates, and also how long my student visa will allow me to stay after my course has finished.

Please check your visa carefully. ENTER BEFORE of the visa is the deadline for entry. But the single entry allow 30 days only. If yous is X, you are required to apply for a residence permit within 30 days after entry with help of your school. So, if you can make sure get enrollment with the school asap after entry and going procedure to apply for the residence permit, enter before February is ok. Or, you can contact your school for details.
