US Citizen - Visa on Arrival

I am a US citizen, currently visiting Seoul. I had planned to go onto China from here, but have realized my business visa expired about six weeks ago. I cannot get a China visa in Seoul as I am not a resident here. Could I get one on entry to China? Or is going to HK first and getting an expedited visa at the airport my best option? Thank you.

To have a visa in Hk in advance should be the only choice for you.
