About:China Visa Application in USA

do I need to provide the visa agent with a passport if I cannot apply in person at the consulate ?

I mean, along with the application and the fees................ or should I just use the travel visa pro option and send in my passport with the fee and application? I live in SD and am not able to travel to washington DC for the application.

You need to send all requirements to the agent including your passport. They will handle this on your behalf.
