About:

I am thinking of using Shanghai as a base for my visit to China in March

I planned to go to Beijing and the surrounding provinces from Shanghai by rail. I have two weeks holidays. Any suggestions?

Actually, it is a good idea to taking this city as your base for the transportation is convenient and the scenic spots nearby are very attractive.
Except this city and Beijing, you can also go to Qingdao and Hangzhou for a visit.
