About:Chinese Consulates in India

Can an European resident get a Chinese visa in India?

I am a Swedish resident (no Indian passport, I am just here for travels) who is traveling in India and have decided to visit Tibet. Can I go to the Chinese Embassy in either Mumbai or Dehli and get a Chinese tourist Visa issued? And in that case, how long would this procedure normally take?

yes, you can apply for a visa there. But as I know, it is difficult to get a Tibet Entry Permit now. The procedure of visa processing takes 4 working days in general.
