About:Chinese Consulate in Melbourne

Visa for 3 days & passport expiry related enquiry

We (me, my husband & 2 kids) are going to London via Guangzhou in november 2012. We want to stay in Guangzhou for 3 days. We hold Australian passports. Do we need to get visa? Our passports are expiring in April 2013, can we have any trouble because of that? Please advise.

Yes, you need all get visa in advance from Chinese embassy or CVASC in Australia. Passport should be valid for more than 6 months when you submit your application. So, you can apply asap. A single entry China visa is valid for 3 months, you can use it in November.
