About:China Railway Map

Coming in early dec

Hi, I intend to visit the mountain in dec this year with my family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 10 and 14. Would appreciate some advice. It should be an overnight journey from Xian. Thanks in advance

Mt. Huashan is not very easy to climb, especially for children. It is very dangerouse and the road is very narrow somewhere. Therefore, I suggest you take the cable car instead. If you want to climb the mountain, you may climb up and take the cable car down. By the way, it is very cold in Dec and the temperature may drop to below zero centigrade on the mountaintop, so please wear the heavy winter clothes to keep warm. And if you stay overnight on the mountain, please note that there is no shower facility and the water is also very limited. Hope it helps.
