weather for may & sept

Question

I have a lady that is planning on touring the highlights of China, Beijing to Shanghai, including a Yangtze river cruise. Leaning towards Sept., but considering May. Does not like cold weather, but does not want lots of rain either. Is May or Sept. the better month to visit ? Thank you

Well, in fact, both May and Sept are nice for travelling with suitable weather condition. The temperature is generally about 15~25C during the two month. There is not much rainfall in May or Sept. You can choose either month for travelling.
