travel during a peak holiday

I would like to travel to Shanghai from 30 sept - 5 nov 2012 this is a china holiday will i face transport problem and getting around shanghai willbe diificult

Generally yes. A large number of tourists go to travel during that time, so it will be certainly crowded then. But if you book the ticket in advance, it will be not that hard to get around.
