Datong during National Holiday

We are going there during National Holiday. Maybe not too smart, but it is time I had off from work. What would you recommend for a nice hotel that is comfortable for Westerners? Also, what places would you recommend we visit besides the most obvious (Hanging Monastery, Grottoes, etc) Thanks!

Hongan International Hotel is suggested. It is located just 10-minutes from Railway Station. So it can be very convenient for the transport.
As for the attractions there, besides what you mentioned, Wooden Pagoda and Mt. Hengshan cannot be missed.
