fast train tickets for sale at pudong airport?

I am flying into Pudong and then staying overnight in Shanghai - the next day I want to take the fast train to Suzhou but a friend said you cant just go to the station and buy a ticket on the day - is that true?Could buy a train ticket for the next day when I was at the Pudong airport Maglev Station or when I get off at the other end?
