Work visa for a vessel visit on 24th of September

I have been asked to do a vessel visit on 24th of this month, but I am out of the country next week. Am I able to apply for a visa in Hong Kong? From there I will be boarding a vessel and will stay on the vessel until the following week. I have a valid British Seaman's Card and offshore survival certificate if that helps.

You can apply for it in HK, but better with an official letter issued by your company or corporation stating that you need apply for a crew visa. Your British Seaman's card and offshore survival certificate are hrlpful.
