Chinese visa for temporary visitors in Japan

Hi, I am an Indian citizen, currently in Tokyo for six months. I have a Japanese residence card valid for 6 months. I want to take a flight to singapore from Japan for which I will have to transit in China. I will be flying from Tokyo to CHINA - Shanghai Hongqiao and then from SHANGHAI , CHINA - Shanghai Pu Dong Apt T1 to Singapore. I need a multiple entry chinese visa for this because I will be coming back using the same route. Can I get the visa directly from the Chinese embassy in Roppongi, Tokyo ?

Hi, if your stopover is less than 24 hours without leaving the airport, visa is not required.
