Visit Visa Requirements?

hello my name is Merdy Sanico, i have a friend working in shanghai china, actually he is my boyfriend and he wants me to visit him there..i just want to ask what are the requirements inorder for me to visit him? how many days, months for a visit visa to stay in china?...thank you and hope to hear from you soon.

The requirements are: passport, visa application form stuck with a color photo of 48mm x 33mm, invitation letter from your BF, copies of his passport and Chinese residence permit. Normally, you will be give 30-180 days duration.

hello, i would just like to add an additional question about visit visa in china...if i am going to visit my BF do i still need to show my bank account, since all my expenses will be shoulder by my bf? and also is it important for me to booked a hotel since my boyfriend has his own apartment for me stay already?...is it NBI clearance is required?..thank you so much for a quick reply, hope to hear from you soon once again.

If your bf will sponsor your cost for the whole trip, you need to provide an invitation letter from him, his bank certificate as well as copies of his work permit, passport information page,and residence permit. Invitation should include the info that he will provide accommodation. NBI clearance is not required so far as i know.

Hi Eda,

Is there a format for the said invi letter?
I'm on the same case but my bf is currently studying Masters here in the Philippines. He went back to China last Sat and will be waiting on my arrival and we'll go back together on Oct 15 here incase I could have a VISA. I'm a freelance accountant here, hence no ITR and my bank's adb just reached >P100,000 two months ago. Hope you could give me a recommendation on what to do to get a VISA. Thanks!

No format for the invitation letter, but it should contain your full name, gender, date of birth, purpose of visit, date of arriving and leaving China, place of visit, relations between the inviter, financial support during stay in China and your BF's name, contact number, address and signature.
