Taiwan island

Hello

I will go to visit Xiamen and i want know the posibility of visit The island of Taiwan.
Please i need the information.

It is possible to take the ferry from Xiamen to Kinmen in Taiwan and after that you can go wherever on Taiwan Island. But before you go to Kinmen, you need to get permission of Chinese government to reach Taiwan Island.
