Length of stay in China on a single entry visa

Am I allowed to remain in China for a period of 4-5 months on a single entry visa?

Generally, a single entry has 30 days duration, it can be extended twice at most within China with one month each. So, I am afraid you will not be able to stay 4-5 months on a single entry.
