In Sep. Beijing has the average temperature of about 22-24 C. Anyway, the highest temperature could be about 30 C. So you can take along both short and long-sleeved clothes, and a light coat for the a little cool mornings.
Jilin at that time, has a changeable weather, with the average temperature of about 20-22 C. You may feel hot in the daytime, but cool at night. Meanwhile, it may rain, so you had better prepare the rainy wear.
Shandong is hotter than the above two cities. The highest temperature could reach to 33 C or higher. So I suggest you wear the summer clothing then. In spite of this, you need take along the long-sleeved shirt to wear in the morning and at nights.

Thank you very much.....it is a great help for planning, I think I have packed too many long sleeves and will now throw in some more short sleeves and hot weather clothes.
