About:Xian Travel

Xian Transportation, Metro and transfers from/to airport, transport to Terracotta Warriors

I arrive to Xian by air and I want to go to visit the Terracotta Warriors and the old city of Xian. What´s better: to stay in a hotel near the train station (Huancheng Beilu) or in a hotel in the downtown? I think there are a bus transfer to/from the airport at the train station and another near de bell tower.

Actually, to stay at a hotel near the railway station can be more convenient.
Firstly, there are direct airport shuttle bus to the railway station, so it is very convenient for your arrival and leaving. Seconly, since you wanna visit the Terracotta Warriors, you can directly take a bus at the square of the railway station, by which no bus or MTR transference is needed. Thirdly, it is not far from the railway station to the Bell Tower and there are many direct buses to Bell Tower.
For all above, it is better to check in a hotel near the railway station.
