About:

apply visa visit china

Help Me please,
I am singaporean and my wife is vietnamese, we planned to visit china''nanning'' by train from hanoi,
my wife went to HCM embassy to apply visa but was rejected and said only go by tour group or china citizen they will entertain and asked her to go hanoi apply.
i call up hanoi and talk to the china officer but he reply ask me to go HCM, hanoi for hanoi vietnamese only.
seem to be china embassy having some internal law problem and confuse me.
any one can advise me what to do for applying visa ?

Where do you live in Vietnam? If your residency belongs to consular jurisdiction of Chinese consulate in Hu Chi Mign City, you can apply there, but not Chinese embassy in Hanoi. You may need to apply with invitation letter from a China travel agency.

thank you for your help and reply but where to get the letter from china travel agency and do i have to follow travel agency tour group? i perfer to go by free and easy.

Yes, as you said before, visa officers from CHM consulate required that you can apply for visa only if you travel with a group, that means you need invitation letter issued by one of the agency with travel itinerary or schedule provided by them. Or, you can try to apply with round-trip ticket and hotel reservation instead of the invitation letter.

can i apply visa in hanoi embassy?
thanks again for your reply but one last question: my wife born and stay HCM, can we travel to hanoi then buy a round-trip ticket for train and then apply visa enter to china in hanoi embassy?

Sorry, your wife can not apply for visa from Chinese embassy in Hanoi if your she resides in HCM.
