I am a Canadian citizen. I will transit through Shanghi on the way from Canada to Thailand. I will be in Shanghi for approximately 16 hours. Do I need a visa to leave the airport?

YOU'LL FIND YOU NEED A VISA AS THERE ARE VERY FEW TRANSFER DESKS AND FOR MOST AIR-LINES YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE MAIN CHECK-IN DESK. THIS MEANS YOU HAVE TO ENTER CHINA BUT THEY ISSUE ONE AT THE IMMIGRATION AND THE AIRLINE PAYS FOR IT.
