Generally speaking, the whole year is suitable to visit the Forbidden City. It means that whichever season you go there, you can have a good visit in the Forbidden City. But I suggest you had better go there, avoiding Chinese national holidays, such as May Day and National Day Holiday, 'cause it will be very crowded.
