How long does it take to obtain a Chinese visa in the UK?

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get a Chinese tourist visa if I apply in person at the Chinese Visa office in London, UK? I am travelling on 7th October and want to make sure I leave enough time for the visa to be issued before I travel. Thanks!

The regular processing time of a visa is 4 working days. You can also require express service if you need. The best time to lodge in your application is one month prior to your departure date.
