Transit in Shanghai via Pudong and Hongqiao

Hi, I am traveling from New York to Tokyo. My flight from New York lands in Pudong at 6pm and my flight to Haneda/Tokyo leaves from Hongqiao the next day at 9AM. Do I need a visa for this transfer as I guess the airports are far from each other?

Yes, you are right. You need a visa for this transfer between the two airports.
