About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

I have a UK passport with permanant NZ residency, is visa needed to transit in Shanghai for 28 hours

I am returning from the UK to NZ via Shanghai and want to stopover in a hotel for 28 hours do I need to apply for a visa. Regards DAwn PEgram

Yes, you need to apply for a transit visa in advance before going.
