What about the Taiwan weather?

Hi, I am going to taiwan this coming friday 24/8/12 to 31/8/12. Is it advisable for me to proceed with my plans because I've heard that 2 strong typhoons are approaching Taiwan? Or should I postpone my entire trip? Or are there any places I should try to avoid to be safe? Need your advice. Thank you very much.
