Where do you get the Tibet travel permit? and visa?

Am planning to join a group to China and Lhasa. Can you see Mt. Everest there? How close is it? How easy is it to pay a quick visit to one of the base camp?

A new policy on the Permit say that a permit can only be got under the condition that the visiting group is 5 or more people with the same nationality, leaving from the same city and arriving in Lhasa on the same day. If your group does not have 5 people of the same nationality, I'm afraid that the permit can not be applied and issued.

From Lhasa, I'm afraid you can see Mt. Everest. It is a long distance between them, and no bus can take you there directly. After all, it is the highest mountain in the world, so it is difficult to go there. While, if you want to enjoy a Mt. Everest camp, I suggest you hire a car there or join an exclusive itinerary.
