China Visa application with Royal Mail

Hi on the 11/7/12 my partner and i posted our visa application to merrion road along with our passports and bankers draft to cover the fee. We used Royal Mail recorded delivery and we got confirmation that it arrived on the 12/7/12. I rang and the lady who answered in the embassy told me they hadnt recieved it and if they had it would have been posted back. But we have proof it was signed for by someone at the embassy and as a result we our now without our passports birth certificates and bankers draft etc. and i would like to know where i go from here.

Actually, applicants are encouraged to apply in person. But anyhow, please try to contact the embassy again to confirm again if they received your application now. Or you have to contact the Royal Mail or the deliverer for the record.
