12 month visa but passport expiring

Visiting China Sept 2013 for 2 weeks. But in Beijing 3 days in October for business. Passport expires December 2013. Can a 12 month visa be obtained to cover both trips and can you enter the country in Sept 2013 if pass port expires in December?

Do you mean 2 weeks in Sept 2013, and 3 days in October 2012? Anyway, you can get a multiple visa only if you obtained China visa at least twice in the past two years. BTW, it is ok for you to enter China in Sept 2013 if your passport expires in December, because you can stay in China until your China visa expires on last entry (the duration of each entry).

Yes, 2 weeks in 2013 3 days in Oct 2012. So I need a Multi visa to avoid paying the $130 fee two times? We have 2 other visas but not in the last 2 years.

If your previous China visas are not in the last 2 years, you may not eligible to get a multiple visa this time. Anyway, you can request a multiple in your application form.
