Hi, I think it is a good city to live in with fresh air and clean water. The natural scenery and environment there are wonderful and you can also go to the minorites around. The minorities have their own particular culture that are worth appreciating.
As for the food, it has various of delicious snacks and many other delicious Hunan cuisine.
I am afraid that there are few places to go in that city at night, for it is not a big city. It is traditional small town in China, not as modern as Beijing and Shanghai.

I am afraid that there are not so many foreigners living there, because it is a small city. But many foreigners do visit it now.
If you want to visit the attractive spots, taohuayuan (Land of Peach Blossom) is the best place to see.
