My son is a Canadian teaching in South Korea until the end of December this year. He will be meeting us in China in October to tour. How and where does he apply for his visa?

So, his Alien Registration Card in South Korea is valid for less than 6 months, right? if so, he can not get visa there. He can apply for a China visa from HK if a trip to HK is possible. Or you can try to apply on his behalf in Canada with his passport and all required documents sent back from South Korea. BTW, a single entry China visa is valid for 3 months after entry, so you'd better apply one or two months before departure.

Thank you for your email. I just took my visa applications into the Toronto office and they could not give me any suggestions to pass n to my son. I am so upset after buying him a ticket, paying for his tour with us and mostly not seeing him for over a year that this is happening Any, any, any suggestions what he could do would be so much appreciated.

Does the CVASC in Toronto accept his application? Please make sure Do Not mention that your son is in Korea right now. If they knows it, they may refuse his visa. BTW, it is easy to get a visa in HK if a trip to HK is possible for him.
