About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

delay in geting visa

We applied to go to china as tourists( group tour). our travel agent is People's Travels. we handed over the visa application to our travel agent in the 1st week of JULY. They informed us that they have submitted the visa applications. We are to leave Sri lanka on 15th August. But still they have not given our PP back. and on inquiry they informed us that they have not received the VISA yet. Is ther a delay these days? Will we be able to go on 15th?

You should push your travel agent to get the truth about your visa application, there must be smoethign wrong with it. As I know, the normal process usually takes 4 working days only. At least, you need to get your passports back, right?

Well this sounds too weird to me too just as Nancy mentioned at least you should get back your passports back and yes normally its 4 days working days so you must see your travel agent for this something wrong . and to travel to china at least 5 persons must apply chinese policy . I am sri lankan here in Shanghai China
