You just confused me. If you have married with a Chinese, you must have the marriage book. Chinese government issues two books to a couple - one for the husband and the other for the wife. I just can't figure out what exactly the marriage license your refer to.0

I'm afraid you have to go to the original government office in China where you register your marriage to make up a new one. Ask the local police where you lost the certificate to provide a proof of the lost, and have it notarized by the local notary pulic and authenticated by the local China embassy or consulate before taking the proof of Loss to China.0
