diving equipment

Hello, I'd like to ask about carrying diving equipment transit via China (Guangzhou). Is it prohibited or allowed to take ni-mh batteries for diving lights in the registered baggage? A breathing gas analyzer as well? What are the security staff steps?

It is prohibited to take ni-mh batteries in the registered baggage and you can only keep it with you, or in carry-on baggage. It seems that you can bring the breathing gas analyzer in the check-in luggage, but you should obey the TSA regulation, eg:Compressed gas cylinders are allowed in checked baggage or as a carry-on ONLY if the regulator valve is completely disconnected from the cylinder and the cylinder is no longer sealed (i.e. the cylinder has an open end). The cylinder must have an opening to allow for a visual inspection inside.
