VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR DAY TRIPS TO MACAU and Mainland CHINA from Hong Kong

We are having a Holiday for a week in Hong Kong travelling on Australian Passports and would like to visit Macau and maybe Guanzhou . Can we easily ontain short term entry permits or do we need Chinese visas?
