From Shanghai to Suzhou, it's easy to take a high-speed train at Shanghai Railway Station or Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The whole journey only takes about 30-40 min.
From Suzhou to Hangzhou, you can take a train at Suzhou Railway Station to Hangzhou very fast. Besides, you can also take a long-distance bus at Suzhou North Bus Station ( No.29, Xihui Lu, at the east of Suzhou Railway Station) to Hangzhou directly.
From Hangzhou to Shanghai, many trains are in service, so you can take a train at Hangzhou Railway Station very easily.

Now there are "D" and "G" trains that will whisk you to Shanghai in 30 minutes or less. You can access Hangzhou via these trains as well. Of course your travel time will be greater, maybe around 90 minutes. Some route through Shanghai and may make several stops along the way in smaller towns.

Buses are available from the north bus station (taking you to the north Hangzhou station) or the south bus station (taking you to the east Hangzhou station).
