About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Processing time for applying for Hk tourist visa

Hi, I am a resident of UAE and have applied for tourist visa for myself and my family on July 10th, but have not heard from them so far, any idea when should I expect my visas and how do they send visa to the applicant.

Where did you submit your visa application, China Embassy in UAE or Hk immigration department?

I sent my documents directly to Hong Kong immigration dept. which were received on 10 July.

Then it It normally takes four weeks for Hk immigration to process a visit/transit visa/entry permit application upon receipt of all the required documents. You can all them directly to know the progress of your visa by enquiry hotline at (852) 2824 6111.

Thanks, for your message. Usually how do they send the visas. I mean 4 weeks includes the despatch and receiving time.
I called them last week but since I donot have reference number because there is no direct acknowledgement so I cannot ask by ref. number. They said they will reply in 3 working days but so far no reply even.

Personally, the four weeks may not include the time for posting back, it may take longer time if you also required mail back service. If they haven't contacted you as appointed, then you can call then again.
