About:Embassy & Consulates of Pakistan in China

information regarding Hong Kong visa

i am a Pakistani student in Shenzhen, china.I want to visit Hong kong. I shall be very thankful to you if you can guide me with the proper information and also is invitation letter necessary for Hong Kong tourist visa.

You can send your visa application directly to HK Immigration Department. Basic documents are your passport, application form and photo. Also, You are required to have adequate funds to cover the duration of your stay in HK, and better with return tickets. Invitation letter is not necessary if you travel to HK individually without a tour by any travel agency.

Thank you very much for your reply. Your answer is really helpful and brief but still I have some confusion about a few things ... can you tell me the amount of adequate funds required and another thing I am already in shenzhen and I dont need any kind of ticket as hong kong border is half an hour away from the place where I live. What should I do ??

For the proof of financial support, there is no definite amount, but it should be at least USD 100 per day. It is ok to apply without return ticket, but you need to provide your China visa/Shenzhen residence permit if any. BTW, itinerary in Hong Kong, accommodation arrangement such as receipt from a travel agency or hotel bookings for you stay in HK are helpful.
