What is the best route for travelling from Auckland (NZ) to Shandong, and on return wanting a stopover in Hong Kong (or Thailand)

You can take an international flight from Auckland to Shanghai first, and then take a domestic flight or train to a city in Shandong Province. When going back, you can take a flight from Jinan in Shandong to HK, and then take a flight to Auckland.
