About:Chinese Consulate in Edinburgh

We are Scottish living in Spain at the moment, our relative is going to get our visas in Edinburgh

We have a Scottish
Address. We have put our Spanish one on the application form as we will still be in Spain. I hope this will be ok

I just can't figure out your meaning clearly? Do you mean you are living in Spain or You just visit Spain temporarily? You may just apply from the embassy or consulate in your living place if you have residence permit or work visa in Spain.
If you are temporary visitors in Spain, yes, it's alright that you entrust your relatives to apply for it for you in Edinburgh.
