About:Requirements for Permanent Residence Permit

Permanent Residence for those over 18 seeking reunion with parents

I am Chinese-British born in China and changed my nationality two years ago. As I am the only child in my family and I feel responsible to look after my parents. I would like to live with them for a long period in China as they prefer to live in China. Also I need to be able to work in China at the same time. However, I am over 18 years old and I don't really want to give up my British nationality. Is there anyway I can live and work in China without giving up my nationality AND without applying for work permit?
Many thanks in advance.

You can try to apply for a family visit visa or a residence permit with longer stay in China. You can simply apply for a tourist visa to enter China first. For more detailed procedure, you can refer to https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/family-visit-permit.htm
