working in Wuhu

I was offered a job to teach English here. The housing is covered and the salary is about 15000 rmb a
month . I am not sure of the cost of living there such as food and recreation, etc. And what kinds of things are there to do? Also I have a young teenage daughter who will accompany me. How much are school costs and fees for her and is there a high quality of education. I know Shanghai students exceed in math and science. What about here? I am unsure about this and I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

As for the living cost, it is really hard to say. It mainly depends on your life style and what you eat. But generally speaking, you can live a very decent life since your salary is about 15000 RMB and housing is covered.
As for the school, it is not so good as Shanghai. Most of the schools provide their classes in Chinese and seldom schools have fully English taught classes, so it may be hard for your kid. Since, there is no such kind of shool especially for the foreign people, it is hard to tell you the fee for the school. For local childern, it is almost free to go to school.
If you just got a job in school, you can ask them for more detail information about the school and education information.

May I ask which school in the city where you were offered a job? Just curious, because I was thinking about going there too!

Thank you,
TJ
