About:China Tourist Visa

How can I do?

Hello,
I am going to take a sabbatical period on Oct. 2012 and i would love to stay in China almost two months. I bought an open flight ticket to Shanghai and coming back from Manila (Philippines). I would visit Shanghai, HK, Yunnan and many more regions. How can I do to get the VISA for almost two months travelling by land? I would like to enter to Laos or Vietnam or Nepal by land.
Many thanks for your kind help

You can apply for a tourist visa to China, a single entry visa is ok, but you need to be clear that leaving for HK counts an exit from mainland China. So, better arrange your travel itinerary from Shanghai to Yunnnan and other cities within mainland China together, then HK. Otherwise, you need to apply for a double entry visa.
A single entry visa allows 30 days stay in general, but you can extend it a week before it expires and you will get 30 days more. Two extentions are allowed within China.

A website mentions, that from the 1st of July, there will be no more visa extensions from within China. Has anyone else heard this, and if so what are my options. I am heading to China later next month, and only need to extend my visa by 2 weeks.

Will it be possible? I currently hold a Nigeiran passport, I am currently studying in the UK and heading to Beijing to visit a friend for 6 weeks.

Hi Shawami, there is no such news oficially released on the website of related office. Maybe you can try to contact a visa agency for more details.
