where to translate marriage certificate?

hi, i need some help, i want to know if my husband can just translate our own marriage certificate since he speak mandarin? and will it be approve for authenticated in dfa and china embassy? or is it really required that it will be translated by a translation agency? or a chinese school teacher? Please help... we only have 1 week left to process this..
