About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

Do I need a chinese Visa if I visit China from Canada?

I'm Hong kong citizen with a 'Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents'. My passport is issued by Canada. Do I need a visa to travel from Toronto, Canada to Shanghai, China?

That means you have Home Visit Re-entry Permit? if yes, you can use the automated passenger clearance channels at immigration control points in Shanghai, visa is not required.
