About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

is nbi clearance and sss id still needed for china visa first time applicants?

i asked a travel agency and was told that as of july 16, 2012 it was no longer needed. is this true?

Travel agency knows the latest information about visa application. So, it may be true. There is no such Notice released on their official website anyway.

out of the 10 travel agencies i called up, 2 confirmed about the non issuance.

i went to chinese embassy today july 27 and its confirmed that NBI certificate are no longer needed as a requirement.
