Weixian Internment Camp Memorial

I live in Weifang and have heard of the Weixian Internment Camp Memorial famous for detaining Eric Liddle of Chariots of Fire fame. When I ask locals for directions however, no one seems to know where this place is! The only details I've been able to get from the Internet is that it's near Yuhe and Shenli Streets north of the People's Hospital. Could you tell me what buses go there?

There used to have a Weixian Internet Camp Memoral in that city, but now it was turned into Weifang People's Hospital and Guangwen Middle School.
Now just a square named Ledao Square was left.
If you want to go there, you can go to the hospital first and then you can walk along the Yuhe Road to get to the square.

Are you sure? There was a liberation memorial to which survivors returned in 2005 and I know a granddaughter of a survivor and her cousins visited a memorial last summer (2015).

I know this is an old post, but this topic is of interest to Christians who have deep feelings for what happened there. It also is part of the Anti-Japanese war heritage China is remembering this year. I can't believe there isn't still a memorial.

There was a park behind the hospital and school (behind the old hospital). You should find the memorial stone with the internees' names, some of the old dormitory rooms they stayed in and the hospital. There is also a stone to Eric Liddel back there. This was dedicated in 1991.
