About:Embassy & Consulate of South Africa in China

In this case where should I take my police clearance report and that's it matter if I don't have it?

Hello, I'm Ghanaian by birth however, I'm married to south African with one child, I picked my application in Beijing when I was submitting they told me I can't apply it there because I'm residing in Wenzhou. In this case where should I take my police clearance report and that's it matter if I don't have it? Otherwise I have to go back to Wenzhou and get the police clearance and get back to Shanghai again which is waste of money. I want to get the answer before moving from Beijing to Shanghai. By the way is visa extension. Thank you very much

Yeah, you should apply for the police clearance report from the local public security bureau where you lived.

Hi Frank,
Thank you very much for the quick reply concerning my police report. My relative permit got expired here in china but the office said I must still get police clearance from my country of birth and China as well? That one is confuse since is an extension and I came from South Africa to China then my relative permit expired. Can you please clear that one for me? I don't want my medical test as well as my wife documents to expired. Because to get the police clearance from my country gonna take a long time. Thank you for your due consideration.

yes, they are right, you need to apply at Consulate General of the Republic of South Africa in Shanghai, not beijing.
