chengdu from major cities

Question

Hi I am really stuck as this is my first trip to china. I want to go to chengdu but don't know how or what the best way is.. I am flying into Guangzhou, going to be in hong king, shanghai, xi'an and Beijing. Which would be the most efficient form of transport from any of these cities? Thank you so much for your help!!

Taking the fare into consideration, to take a train can be better, but it takes about 24h or more. Thus if your time is limited, to take a plane is a good choice but it absolutely costs much more.Between Chengdu and the major cities you mentioned, the plane and the train are both in service except HongKong. Therefore, you can make a choice considering your situations. As for HongKong to Chengdu, you need take a train to Guangzhou first. Then you can take a train or a plane to chengdu.
