visa application - hotel reservation details

We are going to China for approx 28 days and will be applying for a tourist L visa. I note that the application details request 'hotel reservation' details. Whilst will be advance booking either a hotel or apartment for Shanghai where we land, we will be touring around after about a week, and wish to be flexible about which days we travel and therefore will not be pre-booking accommodation. Will this present a problem when we apply for our visas?

Somethimes, the hotel reservation is not required. You can add an explannation letter about your travel schedule for the visa application, and provide your hotel booking in Shanghai on your arrival and yoru return air tickets. I think there is the possible for you to get the visa.

Simply put the hotel details down, it's perfectly acceptable to make changes to accomodation once in China.
