Where to stay in Shenzhen?

Coming Dec 2012 ,I will travel to SZ from HK through MTR for 4days 3nights(arriving late) with my wife and 2 children aged 8 & 9.The last day will flight back to Kuala Lumpur at 9pm.Please recommend place to stay, will suitable for 4 persons or hotel with interconnecting room.Budget around 100 Usd per night for 4 of us.

Any places to visit suitable for children?

There is a family apartment style hotel (Convention and Exhibition Branch) at the cross of Binhe Avenue and Xinzhou Road, near Huanggang Port. You may consider about it. You can take your children to the local Happy Valley for fun.

Stay at the Hotel Xi Cheng. I am paying for a single $34 u.s.. You can make reservations through tripadvisor.com. It is in Luohu, and right in the center. The key to staying anywhere is transportation, and here you are 3 strops from the Luohu MTR, right in front of KK Mall, which is top luxury shopping venue. Many reasonably priced eating places at the mall. The only thing is that they don't speak 'English at the hotel. But location and price are unbeatable. And by the way, you are right across the street from St. Regis, but for 1/10 the price.

It depends where you want to go in the city. I would recommend Luohu, such as Railway Station Hotel which is accessible by metro subway, bus or taxi, as well as the gateway to Hong Kong. From Luobao Line you can go to Window of the World, Happy Valley, or stop at Laojie station for the famous walking street mall of Dongmen. Arriving HKIA you can go to Terminal 2 and buy limousine service, at HKD150 per person to the Railway Station (you need to change car after Huanggang checkpoint). You also can take train from Hung Hom to Lo Wu and walk to Luohu.
